I would like to add a few comments on your remarks, I am from oXygen XML editor :).
XML is used by a lot of people from different domains and we get along with developers also a lot of users that are not developers. Some of them encountered difficulties with the registration process and after this happened a few timed we decided to make the video demonstration to illustrate exactly the registration process.
There are good things with having more information in the license key in a readable form. The users and us can see and understand easily the information contained there.
We removed the registration from the application and we updated also the video demonstration to contain only the registration from the web page so there will be no duplication anymore in the video demonstration.
